The mission of the 4REAL Foundation is to provide young people around the world with resources to advance social justice and sustainability.

Founded by Sol Guy and Josh Thome, creators of the 4REAL TV series, the foundation is inspired by the show and its stories of young leaders who, under extreme circumstances, are affecting real change on some of the most pressing issues of our time.

The 4REAL Foundation supports individuals dedicated to tackling issues such as poverty, the environment, health, children’s rights, indigenous rights, drugs, and violence, especially those who demonstrate the ability to solve problems with courage and creativity.

Sol and Josh’s own dream to create a show that makes a difference was made possible by a few key people who supported them based on their ideas and passion. Even before they had written a proposal these individuals helped them out with funding to get them started. These people simply "got" what Sol and Josh were doing, believed in them and helped them keep going, purely because they shared the same vision and desire to see it manifest.

As they travel the world, Sol and Josh are constantly meeting emerging young leaders with amazing ideas and the potential to make them happen. Often times, the individuals just need a little support at the right time to enable them to move forward with their projects.

By awarding grants, the 4REAL Foundation will enable outstanding young leaders to make a difference and take action for social justice and sustainability.
